A dealership network built from zero to support BYD's entry into the Brazilian market.

Challenge
BYD needed to launch its dealership network in Brazil from a standing start: no existing infrastructure, no pre-established supplier base, no local implementation of the brand's architectural concept. Everything from material sourcing through construction monitoring through final installation approval had to be built from scratch, under aggressive timelines set by BYD's market entry strategy.
Concept
VC ONE adapted the brand's global architectural concept for the Brazilian market — preserving the visual language of curvilinear forms while calibrating materials, sourcing, and execution details for local conditions. Facades became monumental design elements, communicating dynamism and lightness on the street. Interiors extended the same design language inward, using curves and design elements (not walls) to define spaces and guide the customer journey.
Result
Successful execution: 176 stores opened since 2022 and another 78 under construction. Totaling 254 254 dealerships designed by VC ONE across 69 Brazilian cities, with 78 additional units in development. In parallel, VC ONE executed strategic architectural work at BYD's Camaçari facility — including the new executive building housing the presidency.projects designed by VC One.

BYD: Architecture in Motion — Retail Network Built From Zero, and Beyond
The BYD project started from absolute zero — no existing dealer network, no pre-established suppliers, no local implementation of the brand's global architectural concept. The engagement scope was total: material sourcing, specification, construction monitoring, and final installation approval for every dealership in the network. All of it under aggressive timelines set by BYD's market entry strategy — meaning precision, agility, and rigorous coordination weren't nice-to-haves but preconditions for success.
The design brief matched the ambition of the launch. BYD's identity carries innovation, energy efficiency, and the future of mobility at its core. VC ONE adapted the brand's global concept for local execution — preserving the curvilinear design language that defines BYD architecturally, while calibrating materials, sourcing paths, and construction details for the realities of the Brazilian market.
The curves aren't decorative. They communicate dynamism, fluidity, and lightness — the values a brand projecting movement and transformation needs its physical presence to carry. Facades became the primary vehicle for that language — bold, monumental, designed to create striking street-level presence and communicate technological sophistication at first glance.
Interiors extend the design language inward with organic continuity. Rather than defining spaces with rigid walls, the layout is guided by design elements themselves — curved partitions and material transitions that delimit areas fluidly, inviting customers to move through the store naturally and encounter the brand's vehicles and technologies in an integrated experience.
The engagement extended beyond retail. VC ONE was also entrusted with strategic architectural work at BYD's Camaçari industrial facility — most notably the new executive building designed to house the company's presidency and executive-level meetings. That the same firm delivering the dealership network was also chosen for BYD's most sensitive corporate architectural work reflects the depth of trust the relationship has built.
"VC ONE is an extremely dynamic and competent company, made up of incredible people. It brings cutting-edge solutions to the automaker."
